Sporting Stripes Recreational Soccer

SKV Sporting Stripes is a beginner-based soccer program for 3-5 year olds that creates a fun and safe environment for children to be introduced to the sport of soccer while focusing on early developmental milestones in balance, coordination, socialization and emotional development.


SKV Sporting Stripes program utilizes a unique and specialized curriculum, that has been designed by our friends at Sporting Kansas City, to engage and cultivate the soccer stars of the future. Whether it’s your child's first soccer class or their 20th, our program is all about having fun and learning the basics of soccer! 


Each fall, participants will receive a brand new Sporting Stripes jersey. These jersey will be worn for all sessions during a seasonal year. 

  • Season Fees

    $89 / SEASON  -  includes your jersey for the Fall and Spring seasons.

  • Fall Season

    The fall session generally runs for six weeks in September and October on Saturday mornings.


  • Spring Season

    The spring session generally runs for six weeks in April and May on Saturday mornings.

SKV Sporting Stripes

SPORTING STRIPES - LEVEL 1

3 Year Olds

Parent- child class where your child (with assistance of parents) engages in activities that focus on balance, coordination, motor skills, and curiosity. Classes include simple structures games and free-form learning environments. The sessions are led by a parent volunteer and SKV trainers who follow a coaching curriculum designed by SKV throughout each season.


  • Parent-child class (adult participation required)
  • Class time: 50 minutes
  • Player to Coach ratio: 10:1


Dates: Saturdays, April 5 through May10th

Location: Washburn Rural Middle School (5620 SW 61st St)

SPORTING STRIPES - LEVEL 2

Pre-Kindergarten, 4 & 5 Year Olds

Pre-recreational class where your child will engage in structured activities that focus on basic soccer skills, imagination, and creativity. Children of all learning styles will engage in activities and games that focus on the fundamental skills of soccer and participants will practice teamwork, building relationships, and establishing trust. The sessions are led by parent volunteers and who follow a coaching curriculum designed by SKV throughout each season.

  • Pre-recreational
  • Class time: 50 minutes
  • Player to Coach ratio: 10:1
